What do you think the world religion means? My religion does teach me truth. I study the bible on occasion, and attend church regularily, where I praise God, and my Saviour. At church I study the bible with the congregation, and the Priest delivers a homily that both challenges me and inspires me to do better and get closers to God. I have been moved by the holy spirit and God has affected my life as a result. I dont get Lies and oppresion and pain, and neither does anyone else I know of.
We can live in peace together today, if you want. Peace is one of the gifts of Gods Spirit, on the human heart, and I learned and live that from what I have been taught by my religion. When are you gonna stop waisting your energy bashing followers of Jesus?
Indeed, and they all have passed away and have been disdained. When can I expect that for the Vatican Corporation? Then we all will be at peace, together.
QKolomea, history is full of mis-information. Oppression is the rule more in the secular world than in the Catholic world. And that is the point, that my religion teaches us to grow beyond what our normal "comfort zone" is. A few secular fatalities for you to consider: Communism's oppression and tyranny. Hitlers darwinian atheism. Africa's tribal history causing massacre after massacre. Every ancient empire warring constantly to gain presitge and glory, this list goes on.
History is not mis-informed. Books burnt, people burnt, and oppression was the rule. Don't claim wisdom with a teaching that destroyed so much hope. And also, better it be philosophy, because the mistakes of philosophy are merely ridiculous, while the errors of religion have always been fatal for so many.
Church teaching is far from philosophy. See Paragraph 2357 in the Catechism of The Catholic Church. I hope you look it up and correct your mis-informed view. Peace be with you.
When you mis-represent Church teachings you only show a lack of knowledge...The Church considers homosexual acts sinful, not homosexual persons. Also heterosexual acts outside of marriage are sinful. This video was about the beauty of God's creation.

This is not bashing. Believe as you like, just don't mix religion with truth because all we will get is lies, oppression, and pain.

Your rationalizing yourself into a philosohpical nothingness. But yes, the video presentation itself was quite nice.
