Creators: Jason Nicholson, Ryan Johnson, and Doug Nickerson.
This is our compressed air ejection seat. The seat weighed 39 pounds. It rocketed up to 30 feet in the air. The intial pressure was 125psi. The tank was a 4" diameter 10ft piece of schedule 40 PVC. The valves used to release the air were common lawn sprinkler valves. The sprinkler valves allowed for quick release of the air.
