lol look at the match ali could hit him many hits knock him out and he didn't he thought he could win last round but he coudn't thats all .. and he won the 2nd match lol spinkes fail alot

@cozmic24 Ali never got into great shape after his epic showdown in Manila against Frazier. He began to age and had trouble making weight. Add to that sometimes he didn't train as hard as he did in the past. The last time he looked trimmed and in very good shape was against Spinks in the rematch which he dominated from start to finish. Ali trained very hard for that fight, in fact the night he lost here he ran for miles until 3am telling himself..."Gotta get my title back".

@jason60152 You obviously care about what I think or you wouldn't have responded. Incidentally, it's "better than Spinks". Certainly Ali is much better than Spinks: he proved that in their 2nd fight (see my comments on that one). But Ali was not better on this night. Spinks edged him because Ali was not prepared, not taking this unheralded fighter seriously. Ali was starting to show signs of Parkinsons Disease at this time, so to fight as well as he did shows how great he was.
