Albuquerque Airport 70 year history is really the story of four airports: Oxnard Field, Western Air Express Airport, Albuquerque International Airport, and Kirtland Air Force Base. The video also includes references to the Santa Fe Railroad, Charles Lindbergh, the WPA, WWII and the Manhattan Project. Click "Like" if you liked it.

  • one of my favorite airports of all time. next to CLT and PHX. i fly to abq frequently since my older brother lives in socorro bout an hour south. i always love flying in there and i dont think it will ever get old.

  • @8justin88 The first time we flew into ABQ, there was a mariachi band playing on the mezzanine and we noticed everywhere that people were smiling. We declared the band was playing just to celebrate our arrival (grin). Have you been to the El Camino International Heritage Center 30 miles south of Socorro?
