<3 completely entranced.

Given that Rufus grew up in Montreal, I assume any "massacre" is due to the constraints of the song - which he didn't write. The same happens in fitting lyrics to tunes in every language. It's only when we assume the singer is foreign to the languge that we notice it.

so beautiful!

la partie en français de l chanson est un peu "massacrée". L’accentuation de certains mots ne sonne pas juste. c'est dommage. Pour la partie en anglais, elle est certainement très bien, mais je ne peux apprécier le contenu car ce n'est pas ma langue natale.

Lol do you guys even know what this song is about? xD I could pick out some of the words, and I thought it was going to be a sweet little nature song or something, then I looked up the complete translation :P

I love this song but I did find it quite disappointing that it wasn't actually the original video. Not bad taping, I was just expecting to see the original ):

Rufus makes my world a better place.

Aaah, another great one from Rufus Wainwright. His voice is like a fine wine, smooth as silk. He is such a great musician, songwriter and live performer. So superbly talented. Finally saw him perform live for the first time this summer and he was absolutely amazing. Just blew me away. His voice is even better live than on CD.

@xcmike189 Actually, he's American. Born in Rhinebeck, NY, but lived most of his childhood in Quebec after his parents divorced. His father is American folk singer, Loudon Wainwright. Mother, recently deceased, was Kate McGarrigle, a Canadian. Rufus has lived in NYC for many years now.
