Yea JC has fell off the map. I knew he was a judge on that dance show for a little bit. Seems like Joey and Lance are doing alright for themselves and Chris enjoys the quiet life. Don't think any of them are tragic stories so to speak.

Sadly, Justin was leading his bandmates on about his return, so they didn't do much side projects in the meantime. They officially broke up in 2005 (coincidentally, Destiny's Child and BSB made their comeback that year). JC's album was barely promoted by Jive and he had terrible singles to boot.

Yea and at least Kelly and Michelle have had respectable careers. Kelly has had a couple hits, and Michelle has had a couple #1 gospel albums, plus she's doing broadway now I believe. Even that ex-DC member Latoya Luckett had a couple hits in her single career. Most groups once they split, you have that one star that gets big and everybody else winds up on a milk carton lol.

Yeah. He basically turned the group into a white Destiny's Child. (The ironic thing is, as the years went by, Kelly and Michelle sang more, whereas in NSYNC, everyone started to sing less).

That's a good point. JC at that time I've always argued had the better voice, despite JT being more marketable and charismatic. Certain songs really proved that point to me, like "This I Promise You". He really shined on that one. Its funny to this, I still remember that "Gone" music video and how it was like you could see the writing on the wall. By that point they might as well had called the group Justin...and those other guys lol.

Catering to the urban crowd was 50% of his marketing campaign, the other being Britney. I didn't bring that up because of YouTube's character limit & it wasn't the topic, lol. I agree, "Gone" was basically his demo single. He made sure to sing both verses. He knew it would be a crossover hit & he needed to be the center of attention. If JC sang on it, he would be overshadowed vocally. JC has a naturally soulful tone, meanwhile Justin had to learn how to sing R&B and originally sang country..
