Samsun and Bolu , Karadeniz - Pontos 1997

Part of my video collection from my 1997 trip to the Black Sea (Karadeniz) region of Pontus. This was part of my return trip we stopped in Samsun (old Amisos). Some fun out of the hotel window, you can see Theofilo screeming out of the window and Kosta psatha downstairs...also our Bus driver and his Greek hand jestures!!!

I zoom into the port were it was said my grandfather was deported to Greece....

Their is a wedding in 2 cars that drives past, with the Zourna and Ndaoul in one car ahead ...lol

Then we go to the quiet town of Bolu to relax, with one of the Best Chefs in Turkey, great region and a fun game of Soccer with Vasili Fotiadis (brother of Prof. Kosta Fotiadi) and Aslanidi also Theofilo (pontian student of Thessaloniki Greece)..... I think we lost :( !!!!!

After that at a Bus stop I get to dance "Serrenitsa" with Vasili Fotiadi and his wife, who were students or Teachers of the Pontian club "Euxino Lesxi" in Veria....

Fun times....a group 55 from Greece organised by George Andreadis...

my grandpa was a pontian, but in the war they must go to a turkish family, soldiers will be kill him and a women says hey no no this my soon, ton´t kill him, when yopu kill him you must first kill me before you kill my soon and then the soldiers go to other village....this is the story of my grandpa, i have pontian blood in my body but I am more turk....
