A lot of people think Louis Theroux is a simple guy, but he's such a master at documentary filmmaking. He plays dumb for the audiences point of view and strips the people down to their basic thoughts and outlooks. He really does get down to it and asks the essentials whilst being real laid back. All of his documentaries are like mini masterpieces. His subject matters are fucking interesting.

@jazz4 yes! he really pokes people to try and provide some sound reasoning for what they believe and what not.

very laid back. i thought many times people would flip out on him because he presses all their buttons.

here in germany many of those people would also be in a locked psychiatric ward.. those people ware simply sick in their head.. putting them in a jail like this will not help them.

you see in america you lock people away.. here we try to find out what made the acted the way they did and if it is possible to somehow bring them back into normal life..

i don't know where it was but i ve seen a great documentary about a norwegian or somewhere scandinavian prison very interesting. might be louis

Lol i love how polite Louis is. He'll go up to a convicted murderer and say "How do you do?" and calk them 'Gentlemen'. I think that's one of the ways he gets them to open up so much, by showing them lots of respect.
