Nine-year-old Ethan speaks on the Capitol steps in Denver at a marriage equality rally that he personally organized with the help of his teacher, Kyle Kimmal, who introduces Ethan here, and his mother, Tracy Edwards, who is straight. Edwards said that Ethan thought it was unfair that some of the family's friends could not get married. Helping Ethan during his speech is Mindy Barton, legal director at The (GLBT) Center's Legal Initiatives Project (CLIP). Almost two dozen of Ethan's classmates and friends attended to support him, and nearly 200 LGBT people and allies attended the rally.
Kids like Ethan, everyday people, are whats going to make the difference in this movement. Its up to all of us to stand up for whats wright, if this 9 yr old can move and rally 200 + people, what would happen if every gay person and ally did the same. Ethan your a great person, thank you!
