  • Some say Highway Star and Stone Cold Crazy are the first speed metal songs, in my opinion this BOC track anticipated ALL kinds of heavy and fast music (hardcore punk, speed and thrash metal...). This band is highly underrated.

  • B. O. C. should be mandatory listening in all high school music classes! Maybe we would eliminate crap like Lady Goo Goo, and all this rap garbage they listen to today. And remember you can't have crap without rap.

  • @Doctalen Then you, sir, are a young man of taste and decency. My 19-year-old daughter is now proudly spreading the gospel of BOC in her college dorms.

  • @tomshea69 I'm 15 and BÖC is my favorite band. If I ever have kids I will raise them on this

  • @ter50 Blue Cheer was first by a decade

  • this is the best song about canadian mounties ever written ... and I have no doubt Neal Peart of Rush hated that fact with a passion, eh.

  • @av3nger3 Gerrmainian.... bacon???

  • Red and black...nazis.

  • It's "I'm On The Lamb" jacked to Warp 7

  • wow -- still stunning after all these years. I bought this album when it first came out.

(re: precursors to metal, thrash and punk. You could probably also point to The Amboy Dukes' "Journey to the Center of the Mind".)

  • Red & The Black < I'm On The Lamb But I Ain't No Sheep

  • Best album cover in history
