you can build a fine EV conversion for around that amount. a car that would meet the range requirements of 85% of US citizens. i did ; )
-
You need to look around. Not all EV's are slow. Check out the Tesla car and the volt.
-
I'm just woried about my wallet considering the cheapest ev is over $14,000 and is slow won't go even express way speeds and i can't even make it to detroit going any real speed or i have to charge for another day to go the rest of the way.
-
I'm just worried low oil prices will lower demand for the EV revolution.

Good video. My next car will be electric. It is good to see an education video on electric cars. To those who say coal is a dirty way to make electric, it is easier to control a few smokestacks than every car exhaust on the road. Also as methods of generating electricity change, the cars will still plug into the same outlets.

Solar thermal energy would work great in Australia and there are several companies already working on current projects in your country. Given that Australia recently signed on to the Kyoto Protocol, we can expect more e.v.s on the road down under as well!

How do this car actually generagtes electricity?

Most electric cars have regenerative braking, but the main power source come from the electric grid when charging.
