great catty mate. iv just started on the tubes myself. wasn't a big fan of them tbh but now i like them as much if not more then flat-bands. i just need a nice frame to shoot from. thats were some wood and tomorrow morning comes in lol. got some awesome hardwood for a palm-swell and some origen (spelling) for the frame. the frame is softwood so will have to use some metal rod to help make it strong enough. will have some aluminum tips to cover up the steel inserts. will do a vid when done.

I never did rate barnett the tubes are expensive and dont last but a day or so.they are also very expensive now £9.50 per set I noticed on ebay.

@4030bing i used to use them years back before the days of theraband so thought id give them a try again but turned into a disaster and soon changed back to theraband gold-these days theyre not the quality of what they were years ago-as u say theyre now expensive my local hunting store sells them at £3.95 ive also as you say seen them e-bay for much more-theraband gold is the best elastic ive ever used when the tapered bands are cut exactly to match the catapult-awesome power and accuarcy-john

I've got some old barnett pouches that were flexible and strong(straight out of the box)

New ones are too stiff but also dry and weak .

what we need is some sort of synthetic , strong flexible mesh.

@loki1066 yes the older pouches were much stronger than the current ones...ive since fitted a strong hide pouch that will never break.....your idea for a new design pouch is something i may try soon - something thats strong enough to take the pressure and is comfy - cheers for comment....regards john

i put a new band on a brand new diablo pro today as the one i got with it was perished! anyway the new red one lasted about 40 shots before it snapped at the post and hit me in the face. ***k you barnett. i've ordered a dankung today instead.

barnet band´s are crab, they always broke at the lether, but the lether is much to heavy and much to weak!

I thought this video was just trying to promote their catapults when about 5 minutes later i took my barnet catty out (only had it a week) and guess what!!...the elastic snapped at the pouch end
