Metallica are arena rock twats. Megadeth are still a metal band. Megadeth has had some ups and downs in the last 20 years. But Metallica has slid deep down the well into the sewer. They look and sound really gay.

@KingXta93 When i say chug, i mean chug. Dig into the string, make it heavy. Megadeth picks the strings. Metallica chugs, digs into the string. 'For Whom The Bell Tolls," "The Thing That Should Not Be," "Orion," that's chugging, Megadeth picks.

@KingXta93 No, Megadeth does not chug on strings. Megadeth does not use "simple" riff patterns. Megadeth is complex. Megadeth is heavy, no doubt, but complexity takes away from heaviness. That's just me, and obviously people agree.

@jfkdjfd Metallica is heavier? More melodic? That's bullshit! And I'm not one of those people who bashes one band, or the other. I love both. But Megadeth is heavier for sure! Metallica is more melodic only if you like their melodies more. But that's that. But comparing them in a "melodic" way, by counting the number of melodies that those bands have, than Megadeth wins again. Especially in Marty's era, and in Chris Broderick's era. (one of the biggest Chris' influences was Marty)
