Distributed Sound Source Localization System using Ethernet. Two quadruple microphone arrays for sound signal acquisition (cross - like elements), each connected to development starter kit with Texas Instruments's digital signal processor - TMS320C6713. Each kit communicate with a host PC using Ethernet, viaTCP/IP protocol. Left-hand side: situation as it is :), right-hand side: host PC real-time visualization.

  • Does this calculate the distance of the sound source from the microphones?

  • @onebadrobut : Yep, system calculates an exact position in 3D (so distance as well)
