I had forgotten this song until I heard it the other day on a mixed cd a friend of mine had. I remember listening to it when I was a teen and thinking: "Wow, how does this man know how I feel about my life?" Even now in my twenties it still speaks to me. I've learned though that if someone doesn't want to love you then you can find someone else who will. There is no need to stay in a relationship that is loveless. As for parents, eventually you can break free from them to. I did.
