In an age of super bands IMO Jones helped push Zeppelin farther than the rest.The biggest thing was his musical mind he wrote most all the rhythm (non vocal) stuff.As he was the only member who knew music theory (educated). The reason Zep will always be huge they never fell into a groove.Most all their stuff was uniquely different no Z sides on albums all getting airtime.Only a few know how much he really did ...he didn't seek fame which is what makes him so great!
