Sexuality and Spirituality Nigerian Gay Experience

African's are living in a religious environment. They claim homosexuality is not an African culture. They blame the Western world for it influence and say we should hold on to our African values. Yet they use Christianity and Islam to judge homosexuals and i ask are those religions African culture?

Don't Imitate the White Gay Propaganda ! We can satisfy all our false passions ! For example ,if I like to kill a person , is that moral to do ! I am igbo not sure if that rings a bell to you and homosexuals were likened to demi gods on earth. We also had a practice where widowed women married other single women. The Sango worshipers also promoted homosexuality among themselves. Homophobia is a foreign culture not homosexuality. In Benin it was part of the fertility ritual for men to e sexual active with each other.

@sajokal20 God has no problem with homosexuals, it was the early christian church's bias prejudice that came up with that bullshit. Studies have been done to prove that there is homosexual behavior in every animal species that has been studied except for ants. So...do you honestly believe that God made his creations wrong? Or is it more likely that the hatred and fear in humans, especially the early church bigots, created this lie? In the same way they made the woman an inferior being? Grow up.

@outofthisworldgurl I understand the discriminations and the hipocrysy of many others who used to consider the gays ,the source of their problesm ! But beyond all that , we have to recognize that homosexuality is not what God (EEBE in ancient egyptian ,Eloh in hebrew,Allaha in aramean or Allah in arabic ) created us for ! It is a bad passion but the gays have to respect themselves and the parents who beggoten you with harmony !

Our biggest problem as a people is that we've replaced our inherent spirituality with religion and that's why we are still so unconscious and behind the 'eight ball' as it were.
