I'd love to know how he works with the actors, how much direction , how much improv

The most exciting thing about Apichatpong is that, unlike other film makers, he wants us to be conscious of the fact that we are watching a film and that he has a story he wants to present to us. I love love LOVE the changing of the lens while he's filming. It breaks down the process, it pushes away the falseness of film by presenting us with it fully. In a way, it makes us more aware and appreciative.

How does he do it? Apichatpong is the greatest ever...end of story
here 's what i thought...
the first guy we see is an illegal foreign worker in Thailand, he showed us all the quality of being a human (e.g. clothes-human rights, muscles-manhood) but he cannot speak, as the police would know from the accent that he is an illegal foreign worker. In comparison to the second guy, he had tattoos symbolising his rights to express (even on body), as he is a Thai person living in the country having the rights to speech whereas the other doesn't.
