  • For some reason the United Artists' intro used to scare me when I was a kid. lol

  • @DemonWizzard On second thought, since I'm on Dish Network, you'd have to twist Charlie Ergen's arm to get him to pick up HBO Classic. I begged for HBO Zone in standard definition and he says there's no interest, then he goes and puts up an HD version without adding the SD version, too. Grrrr!

  • The movie is great, but what I have always loved even more is the HBO opening scene. I know it sounds like idolatry, but they knew how to put it together with the right music and angle to "inspire majesty" in their own brand. lol Oh, and I wish HBO would show that old thing more these days....and Closet Cases of the Nerd Kind. Maybe come out with an HBO Classics channel and rerun old schedules, including the old short movies. Use all the old stuff from the early years.

  • Original Title: Thursday the 12th!

  • OMG--I haven't seen this since it was on HBO!!!

JOHNSON!!! WILL YOU GET OFF BOB'S BACK!!!

  • One of the all time greatest films!!! You never forget lines like, "I wanna sleep with truck drivers and get crabs" or "I know you're watching Mr. Decay" or Eileen Brenner saying "not those dirty pilllows, THESE dirty pillows!" and I will NEVER say on a plane, "stewardess, my coffee is cold"

  • I never realised how much I missed the HBO intro

  • How come the UA logo at the start of this movie as well as the entire movie is in a higher pitch than normal?

  • Back when HBO was HBO. Not nessarily the news, christmas specials, new years eve specials. Not the garbage it is today.

  • I haven't seen this since the old days of the USA Network.
