Australian Story - Craig Lowndes - A Red Hot Go

Australian Story went behind the scenes with Lowndes during the final tumultuous months of his roller coaster 2006 season.

The program also documents his meteoric rise through the ranks of Australian Motor Sport and the relationship that developed with the Brock family along the way.

It explores his emotional reaction to the death of mentor Peter Brock, the loss of the V8 championship under controversial circumstances and the reasons for his clash with the sport's administrators.

V8 Supercars has been for me the best Motorsport on the planet for as long as I can remember. What a great story and so touching. To see the other drivers running over to CL after his accident was amazing. Thanks Lukey. A UK fan.

Cried like a baby. ive watched this many times and it still gets me. What top blokes. Awesome racers but also gentleman. Such a connection between Brocky and Lowndes. Dont tell me they didnt share something no other racers have ever shared because they both walk the same steps with the track AND fans. Unreal.
