Hegel, the Media, 'Conspiracy Theories' and You. [pt 3/3]

Part 3 of 3.

This episode (in three parts) explores the popular perception of a 'conspiracy theory' and why this common attitude is dangerous to a 'free and open society'. This episode illustrates how this perception leads to political complacency, effectively undermining democracy substituting it with an illusion of 'free choice' underpinned by Hegelian dialectic.

It also examines the crucial role of the media in the 'free nations of today', and how secret political agenda's and institutions (such as the CIA) have molded the role of the media in society over the years.

These concerns are all highlighted in John F. Kennedy's Speech: "the president and the press" (1961).

cryofan@ Yes our forefathers were the elite but they were not the elite as we know today. These MEN put their lives in jeopardy for the sake of their ideals. If the revolution had failed these men would have hung and they knew that would be their fate but they pursued the revolt anyway. They also would had their property seized and would have been defamed. Know of any elites in modern America that would put up so much for an idea that would mostly benefit others?

Fatherland=Nazi Germany Motherland=Soviet Union Homeland=USA. JFK speeches were the last presidential speeches that gave one the impression that America was a thinking nation and a nation that was respected by the president.

I appreciate what you are trying to do. You are trying to get a meta-view of politics, a view that will help explain why the USA is so messed up.

But you are off base, especially with your use of the Founding Fathers. They were not on our side. They were the elite.

Think of man in his society as an ecosystem. Think of how he evolved. Look at those great nations of western europe and compare their govts to ours.

Not everyone is meant to know the secrets, it took me awhile to understand why that it is. But I have come to see some truth to their secrecy. So why am I talking to you over the web? Because of JFK. Another thing I want you all to look at and that is the 6 and 8 pointed stars or wheels, these have been found all over the world including North American rock art, by the way the Indians did not have a word for wheel so why would they draw one? I have not been able to find out what they mean yet, but I know its important. If you know you should tell me. By the way the cross is variation of this system 2 lines a cross, 4 lined star, 6 lined, 8 lined star. In Sumer it represented specific gods.

So did they build the temple of Solomon? No, but they found the remain of the people that did. =) Also the pyramids weren't built by the Egyptians, the were found by the Egyptians. Did you know the Dove was asossiated with a Goddess that was sent form the sky? I believe thats Sumerian or Babylonian, but thats not important seeing as the Babylonians adopted and transformed most of the Sumarian works like the Epic of Gilgamesh which became the Enuma Elish, which was used in the Bible.
