Parks & Recreation co-star Nick Offerman is more than just a gifted actor. He's a bonified, true-blue woodworker. Take a tour of his workshop and find out why Nick is more at home in the shop then on the set.

  • I'm fascinated to learn that Nick's character Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation has a basis in fact. Nick is one lucky woodworker. I'd call that a dream shop. Nice work too, both on and off camera.

  • it took me 2 minutes to work out that its not a joke

  • His my Hero !!!

  • Kern County taking it on the chin at the end!

  • bonafide

  • i know nothing about wood working but i am so attracted to nick offerman right now.

  • looks so different without the beard

  • I just wanna itch his beard for him.

  • This is pretty much my dream shop, I just wish I had access to slabs half the size of the ones that Nick Offerman has!

  • Cool tour and shop.

Funny no mention of that jig being a mainstay to Tage Frid, whom Nick mentions in the article as an influence. Not that there is anything unusual about a router on an X/Y gantry to start with. I often find that FWW editors don't seem to have read through the back catalog.

google flattenaworkbenchwitharouter for a pic and article from highland woodworking.
