  • I've seen other Cassies, and only Donna McKechnie measures up. She's the best, through and through.

  • and the costume

  • Do you have anymore of this? I should have been in it but was out of town. I have the finale.

  • @quickmix21

It's the record breaking performance when they surpassed Fiddler on the Roof(I believe) to become the longest running Broadway show(at that time).

  • One of the most amazing voices ever!!!!

  • @lioneyes00 actually those aren't backup dancers those are all women who played Cassie at one point. This is celebration performance of the 1000th or something like that

  • hehe its like a school of really red fish.

  • @brettarnett This is from the gala performance when "A Chorus Line" became the longest running musical on Broadway. Past Broadway Cassies came back to join the number, in addition to a number of members from other casts performing different portions of the show.

  • Donna McKennie is Cassie because that character was based on her own life, the same with Bayoork Lee as Connie. When you have to interpret your own life you're putting passion into besides her already famous vocal and dancing skills. No, the original performance does NOT include backup dancers, probably they did this as a metaphor for she being dancing on front of the mirrors.

  • Were there always multiple women backing up cassie in the end of the song? If not when fdid it begin?
