Super weird to find something of Komeda !

I first heard them when 'Daria' featured 'Rocket Plane (Music on the Moon)', and I fell in love .... they have to be my favourite band, and I'm so sad I never managed to catch them live.

Same thing here. I watched all of Daria (pilot and movies too) and heard that song.

Could you be willing to ask Jonas who was or were the main composers in Komeda?

I know who the music is credited to, but I can't imagine there wasn't a specific driving force to the complex voicings and polymetrics that made Komeda stand out from the rest.

I always get the impression it's him, plus maybe Marcus, but do not really know.

Grateful if you can help.

I know this is like swearing in a church, but my take is:

Stereolab were great stylistic inventors and trend setters.
Komeda in addition had really great composers.

Play "What Makes it Go?" on a good stereo. Listen to every little detail going on.
Be in awe.

I miss them.

Yeah, I can't believe they didn't get bigger - they're so incredibly talented. It seems like they aren't together or doing anything anymore - is that true? Man they're awesome...

This band truly should've been huge. Still, I love, love, love them!!!
