In other words she has no answer. This is a change in tone from earlier talks. I'd like to see her address the hatred taught by imams in madrasses.

Monica, you're so sweet, good hearted, so full of good will!
I tend not to be that romantic!
Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) recognized these problems, already visible and tangible in his days! I quote:
1)
"All the people like us are we, and everyone else is they"
2)
"Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the two shall meet,
Till Earth and Sky stand presently at Gods great Judgment Seat"
Good wishes most likely won't become reality! Why? Nobody wants it!

" A new generation of Muslims will bust out of their culturally and politically isolated cocoons and passionately reclaim their voice and narratives; one that has been stolen, used, abused and hijacked by extremists, terrorists and fear-mongering propagandists. Watch out for a major cultural renaissance as a new generation of Muslim artists and storytellers grab the mic, enter the arena and speak their voice with a revived passion and purpose."

@MLBinwa And honestly iam not going to talk about the Fatwa because before it was issued we already knew that the Quran condemns terrorism in all its forms. But trust me its a lack of knowledge which forces us to develope suspicion and fear towards each other when instead what we all must be trying is to get to know each others perspectives. We might have differences but we have more in common than different and its crucial for us to realize that.

Great comment, thanks for posting it. Do you have any favorite verses from the Quran that condemns terrorism?

London, England (CNN) -- A Muslim scholar has issued a fatwa, or religious ruling, that says suicide bombers are destined for hell.
Tahir ul-Qadri condemned terrorism and criticized Islamic extremists who cite their religion to justify violence.
Ul-Qadri's 600-page fatwa is "arguably the most comprehensive theological refutation of Islamist terrorism to date," according to the Quilliam Foundation, a London organization that describes itself as a counterterrorism think tank. ...

"Terrorism is terrorism," ul-Qadri said at a news conference hosted by the foundation. "Violence is violence. It has no place in Islamic teaching, and no justification can be provided to it ..."
Ul-Qadri is the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran, an organization with hundreds of thousands of followers in South Asia and the United Kingdom, according to the Quilliam Foundation. ....

East and west are two warring brothers
Both too proud to acknowledge each other
The edifice which shines the western worlds light is built on centuries of scientific eastern insight
It is true to say the least that the west would never be the west without the east
Today it is the east's turn to learn from the western world
Politicians try to divide the two but poets and lovers know whats true
East needs west and west needs east let the fires of war drown in a river of peace

Thanks Monica,
Maybe more more Poets and Lovers will become Politicians during these interesting times.
The world can't continue much longer on the course we appear to be on. Luckily the Light is shinning and growing in many Hearts around the world. We will have some amazing results within a few years. Once we realize we are all ONE and that we need one another to survive and thrive.
