@irshgrl500 Yes- point taken-not knowing any earlier version than Bo Diddley's I had assumed it was his composition.
Dixon was simply prodigious in his influence upon the Chicago Blues & you can add a shitload of other Dixon songs successfully covered by numerous artists......Spoonful & Wang Dang Doodle for starters........but.......we digress.........The Animals are one of my favorite bands......& I agree with flatliner35 ....I can't think of a song by E B & A's I don't like !

@MalThorgan Nope, Willie Dixon wrote "Pretty Thing", not Bo Diddly. Bo was the first to record Pretty Thing.
