in the right hands the staffordshire bull terrier is one of the most loyal and loving dogs around, all they want to do is please and love us. if you want a big mean dog choose another breed.
@greggharriman81 I had a white staffy given to me when it was 9wks old, that was nearly 3yrs ago and I can say with all honesty that, it's the best & most loving dog that I have ever had, I have had quite a few different breeds of dogs over the decades. They are one of the best family dogs and are fantastic with children. If you have children get one from a puppy, if there's no children then a rehome staffy my be a good option.
Staffs by nature are very freindly towards people and serve to please these dogs will do anything to gain affection from their owners and this is what can be abused by bad owners who want an aggressive dog towards people. While their is always a chance to have a bad dog in any breed its very rare in Staffords but dont take us fans opinion for it ask your local vets who should have an unbiased opinion as they tend to be a fav breed with them because of ease to tread because of their nature
I have a staff similar to the white one in this video...great with kids and little dogs including puppies.
But doesn't get on to well with larger breeds, especially males. Maybe because he was the alpha male of his litter and wont be dominated. Or maybe because he senses danger from them i dont know.
either ways i love him to bits, my best friend ever
thanks for making this vid. i have a staffy, my miss's has one. my best friend has 2. the most loving, caring, faithful friend i have ever had. would never harm a fly. she eats with me, watched tv with me and walks with me. the only problem is getting her off my knee, she always wants cuddles. ;-)
Pain in the arse.. can't go out for a walk without it wanting to play with other dogs.. can't go near children without it rolling over to get a tummy rub...can't get my prize rabbits ready for show without her going over to 'groom' her friends? ..why does this breed of dog have to be so horribly friendly!?..
Bullshit.
