Every 15 Minutes - 1st Half - Etna, CA

This is the first half of a short documentary for the "Every 15 Minutes" program put on by the Etna PAL program and local emergency services at the high school in Etna, CA. It is an accurate portrayal of what happens directly following a drunk driving accident; including emergency response, going to the hospital, the police station, the morgue and funeral. It was created in the hopes that more people would understand how tragic a drunk driving accident really is.

"Every 15 Minutes" refers to how often on average a person is killed or seriously injured in a drunk driving accident in the United States.

i remember being there when this was filmed..... very hard to see my friends in all that fake blood and gore..... my cousin was the grim reaper at the scene

I have participated in this both as a student and working EMS its a great thing to really make students realize how far it reaches and how many they can hurt.  Hopefully they will never forget. Please be safe - I do not want the next person I treat to be you or someone you care about.

Wow... This was probably one of the most emotional days of my high school career. Seeing my friends hanging from cars screaming for help and being loaded into body bags was really eye opening but heart wrenching as well. The funeral that followed the next day had our entire student body in tears. Thanks for showing the danger of drinking and driving but I don't know if this was the best way to go about it. Either way it made an impact.
