RACING WINNER - ESCALADE
FREESTYLE WINNER - JURASSIC ATTACK
The massive floor of Millennium Stadium allowed for big obstacles and incredible freestyle performances from the star-studded line-up start to finish. Karl Swallow, competing in his home country, started the competition with a strong run in Slingshot, then Swede Anders Flogaard started big early but flipped the truck with close to a minute left on the clock, hurting his scores. Blackwell, too, rolled the Turtle with way too much time left on the clock. Then Frankish brought Jurassic onto the floor and laid down one of his most impressive performances ever. Jurassic combined big air with some wild cross-thread moves, the last one coming as the 90 second time frame was filled. It appeared at the moment that Frankish had flipped his truck too but he rode out a lengthy side-surf and finally hammered the throttle hard enough to snap the truck back onto its tires, the entire crowd coming to its feet and the judges honoring Frankish's run with a perfect score of 30. Several other Monster Jam superstars went big, but none was able to match Frankish's score and Jurassic came away with the big-time freestyle win, outscoring Grave Digger by one point with Krmel's big air assault in El Toro finishing 3rd.
The Cardiff fans, thrilled by all the action, were also excited to hear that Monster Jam will be headed back to Millennium Stadium in June of 2008.
