Maybe The Coneheads was a documentary?

An archaeological discovery of 13 "conehead"-shaped skulls in Mexico has people recalling the famed Saturday Night Live sketch. The bones, which are about 1,000 years old, dating from 945 A.D. to 1308 A.D., were discovered accidentally during a dig for an irrigation system in the northwest state of Sonora in Mexico. While it's not unheard of for archaeological sites to be unearthed during modern excavations, the misshapen skulls discovered on the site are fairly uncommon, especially as far north as Sonora. "This was an Hispanic cemetery with 25 skulls, and 13 of them have deformed heads," Cristina Garcia Moreno, who worked on the project with Arizona State University, told ABC News. "We don't know why this population specifically deformed their heads."*

Some ancient skulls shaped like cones were unearthed in Mexico, and they look...not very human. What explanation is there for these oddly shaped skulls? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break it down.

Anecdotal stories do not amount to evidence, also being highly educated or qualified does not provide immunity from delusion or wacky beliefs, the human mind is highly susceptible to suggestion, hallucination, false memories, trick of the light etc thousands of clinical trials have proven this.

Yes it's vague, it's a 500 character comment about a nice doc I watched years ago & am giving friendly recommendation of to people interested enough in the subject to be watching this video. Wasn't supposed to be elaborate rundown or asking you to "speak about" it like a challenge, I'm nice person, just pointing out that physical evidence corroborating the visual reports is featured, as you assumed it was uncorroborated words. Obviously I mean acceleration by "manoevres", not loop-the-loops etc

Really? i can't possibly speak about "other devices" because that's a description about as vague as a drunks recollection of any given Saturday night.

Radar on the other hand is notoriously prone to false readings and certainly can't record anything like manoevres.

Agreed. But anecdotes are not all there is in the documentary, these things were confirmed by radar and other devices to perform the manoevres reported, some left radiation behind etc. Personally I concluded the technology was probably real & think it was less likely made here than somewhere else, given the context (being sat on this long without wider application). It's the best doc on the subject IMO. No solved cases wasted time on, no repetition, dramatic music & talking to you like you're six
