Jack Skille pitches pucks for Marty Turco to hit baseball style after a Blackhawks practice, Dowell comes out of the bull pen as the relief pitcher. Sorry for the shaky camera, it was on my phone and the rink had little heat to combat the Chicago winter, im pretty sure i could see my breath during most of the practice.

I want to thank both Turco and Skille for stopping to sign things after practice, and for Turco losing the starting spot to Crawford and taking so gracefully without a fuss. Hope you get back and in your game in that goal Turco

  • The Hawks got a good deal when they traded Skille for Frolik, I'd like to see them get rid of Turco as well.

  • @RazrHawk81 ya i was sad to see him go, but Frolik is great, i'd agree. Turco is an awesome guy, but unless he starts playing better, there's no reason to pay him that much to sit on the bench.

  • @totter2 Signing a 35 year old goalie was pointless, when a guy like Niemi was available, who also happens to be 9 years younger than Turco. I don't know what Bowman was thinking when he chose Turco over Niemi?

  • @RazrHawk81 niemi wanted a million and half more than the hawks were willing to pay their goalie at the moment.

  • @totter2 Thats what the arbitrator awarded him, around 2.8 million. But I personally would've kept Niemi, instead of matching the offer sheet for Hjalmarsson like Bowman did. Hjalmarsson's nothing special, he could've been replaced for 2 million, that would've left the 1.5 million needed to sign Niemi. Bowman would've had plenty of time to sign another D man.

  • @RazrHawk81 ya there are a million player combinations we could have kept or used.....
