  • Preston was far too touchy and clearly if you can't take a joke, you shouldn't come on this show lol

  • Preston was such a brat on this show, if you can't laugh at yourself then who can you laugh at??

  • @BananaAnna99 I saw him live at a stand up show in Truro, he was brilliant, but incredibly sad to hear how lonely he is.

  • @BananaAnna99 hes only as lonely as your average person tbh just because he admitted it in his standup and didnt deny it when brought up doesnt mean hes more depressed than people who ignore it and care about wht people think of them. him coming across as weird/awkward is what happens when dumb people dont get his humor, and when this happens he doesnt strive for their approval but runs with it, which is part of what makes him as entertaining as he is. which is also what he did in his interviews

  • 0_0 I was watching a Green Day video before I clicked on a random episode of buzzcocks, AND it's Billie Joe Armstrong's birthday today, and they're mentioned. See, THIS kinda thing makes me so fucking paranoid, jesus I am so freaked out right now...

  • @kingcrow15 Ed Byrne was the voice of the Carphone Warehouse adverts at the time, advertising mobiles. I think Simon's pronunciation was just him being silly.

  • someone explain the mobible joke

  • Preston is a cock

  • his pieces on "the art of stand up" are very interesting, and perhaps more revealing about him than that misjudged breakfast interview. To be fair to the bbc breakfast people, they're very scrutinised by viewers at home - alarm bells went off in their heads when simon amstell mentioned the brain tumours, so they didn't have time to process that it wasn't a joke poking fun at russell watson, they just wanted simon off the sofa.

  • @potatosalads88 I agree, I saw Ed Byrne doing stand up in Edinburgh a couple of years ago - I literally ached from laughing so much :)

  • Preston: A man with a bottomless mug of tea

  • Ed Byrne is one of my favourite comedians. Too bad he isn't more well known. =/
