  • @MetalDetroit You're attributing all this to capitalism? You're missing the point of the Occupy movement. The headlines "Americans against capitalism" is misleading as it doesn't show that these people are angry about specific practices people are able to do under the banner of capitalism. Communism/Socialism may seem bad to you, but American capitalism is a morally and ethically corrupt economic system that will be a danger if it spreads to other countries.

  • @MetalDetroit Let's not forget the rising costs of education needed to pursue the ideal "American dream", the corrupt practices of corporations and the elites to preserve their wealth and power, the political environment created by American capitalism that is similar to medieval oligarchy. These conditions are not fit for any 21st century developed countries and Occupy Wall Street deserve every recognition they get for pointing out the problems of capitalism.

  • @MetalDetroit These people are angry at certain aspects of OUR capitalism, that only the few "elites" of America, who send their future generations to special schools meant for their "class, make the decisions that severely impact the lives of Americans. If you have researched, the economic inequality among Americans has increased gradually, with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.

  • @MetalDetroit I think they're more angry by the fact that capitalism produces a social structure in which a few individuals or families are the ones who make the major decisions of the country. I think they are angry by the fact that our model of capitalism has increasingly made it harder for people from other social classes to ascend and fulfill their "American dream" since capitalism has produced so many obstacles that prevents Americans from doing so.

  • Leftists OUT OF U.S. NOW!

  • @evilresidence4 And how many countries have you lived in?..We have the greatest advances in medicine, the greatest consumer choices, the greatest economic freedoms, the greatest religious freedoms. World history is filled with tyranny, starvation, disease, opression. Some day you will appreciate the gifts given to you - created through our economic system. Until then, take a walk through a grocery store and marvel at all the products - and contemplate how they came to be on the shelves.

  • @MetalDetroit that is complete bullshit. We have the same standard of living as every other 1st world country citizen, probably worse than most.

  • @MetalDetroit we can do better.

  • Idiots that think capitalism is ok never factor in that the problem is relative just cuz the exploited has two meals a day and a roof over their head does not mean they don't suffer capitalism destroys laborors time, opportunity talents, dreams, and physical health. Not to mention it's indirect brain washing effects. People are getting indirectly forced to live a restricted life. It's like going to Vegas with your five bucks. Have fun!!! Said the capitalist.
