Bridleless Dressage -- Stretching, Collection, Lateral, Games

In this video, Caspian was just discovering how to use his front legs in Spanish walk and trot. He was not so much for lateral work, stationary exercises, or cantering that day.

@mmaximmo Thank you! When this video was taken, I was about 16 and Caspian was about 10, I think. I had had him for about 4 years, done Parelli for a few of them, and then clicker/trick training for perhaps another year. He was a lot of fun to work with. :)

Thank you so much! You can ride like that if you want -- it's just a lot of experimenting and playing with your horse. You can read my training diary of Caspian and I on the Art of Natural Dressage site (you have to register and then go to "Daily Training" section), or read my new Wordpress training diary of my Andalusian mare at Cambria Horsemanship (YouTube doesn't let me post links, Google it and they'll come up). That might give you a few ideas to get started! :)

This is so amazing! I am teaching my Horse collection and using a halter and sometimes a bridle and he is fantastic. But not sure how to teach this! could you send me a message maybe explaining? I'd love to learn how to begin asking for this.

wow that is beautiful!!! i love natural horsemanship <3 i jump my 14hh pony bareback in a halter but right now im sitting in bed with a broken leg because of that :( im still riding and still ride bareback in a halter but not jumping just yet. your horse is beautiful!!!!! i have riden sally (my horse) with nothing but a helmet and got her to do every thing including walk, trot, canter, turning in circles and stopping on voice command and we can jump 90cm!!!! i love natural horsemanship <3

Love this, I hate how some people ride front to back.. And wonder y there horse wont flex or round up properly!!! Back ti frobts tge way to go, engaing there hind flexion... Love it... Hes really nice well done!!!!
