A RUSSIAN THANKSGIVING 2 is a mock theatrical trailer made in the vein of such classic Sergei Eisenstein films as POTEMKIN. It's action-packed! Horrifying! AND HILARIOUS!
The story: Twenty-something EISENSTEIN has just been fired from his job. Due to this unfortunate fact, Eisenstein is much to preoccupied with his financial woes, while babysitting his four-year-old nephew, to notice when his nextdoor neighbor (secretly a CANNIBAL!) kidnaps his nephew and turns him into little-boy soup!
One year passes--Eisenstein is practically ruined by the loss of his beloved nephew, emotionally and mentally. He obsesses over his probable death and finding the person responsible for his disappearance...
Meanwhile, Thanksgiving is coming up and Eiseinstein's cannibal neighbor is planning a Thanksgiving feast far more filling than any child could ever provide. Will Eisenstein become this cannibal's Thankgiving dinner, so to speak? Or will he prove to be somewhat more difficult prey?
Part action, part horror, part comedy. My film is heavily making fun of the ridiculousness of today's revenge films, while at the same time showing that Sergei Eisenstein's MONTAGE OF ATTRACTIONS never left the realm of cinema--it just transformed into the "Coming Attractions" ( i.e. Theatrical Trailers) we're familiar with today. Also, it's got a killer fight scene at the end.
And actually, now that I think about it, it's really not that hilarious--but that's because it's not supposed to be. I only put that there in hopes that people would watch it because they like videos that are hilarious.
Enjoy!
P.S. I wrote that music. I dare anyone to say I didn't.

What?!
Sorry, I have no idea what you're saying. Not only was the movie made in Iowa--not Boston--of the United States, but the story also takes place IN the United States. The main character, though it's not explicitly stated in the film, is of Russian descent. The "Russian" in the "Russian Thanksgiving" title is a reference to the style of the film--"the montage of attractions"--created by the great Russian filmmaker, Sergei Eisenstein.

This doesn't take place in Russia. If you're from Russia, no doubt you know who Sergei Eisenstein is?

Not a bad trailer... although cut this down to about a minute and it would be a lot more interesting... most trailers are 60 - 90 seconds for the same reason; 5 minutes is just too long.
I like the cannibal idea... wouldn't it be more creepy though if he actually sat down to eat and THEN discovered the jacket? oh man, that would be creepy.

Well...I mean...you know it's not ACTUALLY a trailer, right? It's more like a silent short film that's meant to resemble the style of a trailer. I don't know if you knew that or not.
