Car and Driver Comparison test between BMW M3 Coupe (E90), Nissan GT-R, and Porsche 911 Turbo (997). I consider this comparo to be uneven because for the price of the 911 Turbo, you can purchase the M3 AND the GT-R.

Porsche 911 Turbo- 11/10
BMW M3- 11/10
Nissan GT-R- 10/10

  • Personally, I prefer the GT3 to the Turbo. The M3 is just a great car.

  • I thought for a second they said the porsche had a nazi shifter...then realized it was Notchy...the previous would have been funny

  • Bullshit comparison! For price, performanceand design Nissan GTR is number one without any doubt.

  • @Vinialb btw it gets 20 highway 14 city

  • @Vinialb the evo fq400

  • that m3 sounded so nice.

  • the porsche is a 997 turbo and do u know what a skyline is?the actual skylines are more like limousines but no sportcars

  • @Vinialb It's not maybe, It is in fact the reason. Multi car discount & M3 is a part time driver with 2500 per year write up. Now try to get a quote for a daily driver & watch that $1400 jump from yearly to 6 months policy.

As I told you, I've owned 2 M3's for many years, take my word for it my original comment was not stupid as you described if you actually owned M3 you would agree with me 100%. I wrote my comment 1 week ago & not a single M3 owner replied & you now know why.

  • @AndreTwin It maybe cos we have 7 cars in the same package insurance i know by fact cus the M3 is in my wifes name(his sister). We pay 1400$ for the M3 (has 46K miles) 1200$ MB C240. 1200$ 325i Bmw . 700$ Honda accord. 1000$ GMC canoyn. 900$ chevy siverado and 1000$ GMC SAVANA work van. an these are for one year rates.

  • @Vinialb I'm more then sure your brother in law either resides in some bunnies if not then has multi car discount & his M3 in under 2500 miles per year policy. Just ask him.

My M3 was $3400 per year daily driver full coverage policy with clean record. My 996TT X50 $2900 same full coverage with same & very reputable insurance company. Insurance goes by zip code as well on top of car's overall record, car's value & luxury only plays part of it.

Trust me insurance for M3 is no joke. Thats a FACT.

  • Well i live in Michigan and i dont own a M3 but a 325i but my brother i law has one of 2005 and he pays 1400 $ a year and we all have PROGRESSIVE insurace and i dont know about LA but im talking where i live
