the Belgian Armed forces conducted a large scale exercise under the codename "Storm Tide".
during this exercise, my hometown, Ostend, represents the capital of a fictional African country called "Madistan". where a rebel group has taken control and is keeping a number of Belgians as Hostages
this exercise included
-capture of Ostend International Airport
-Land troops by sea
-recapture the Belgian Embassy (Eugermin Naval Base)
-evacuating 300 Belgian citizens (simulated by 300 voulenteers)
this is Part 1 the exercise, witch shows the arrival of the troops and the capture of the beachhead.
participating in the exercise include Belgian and Spanish Troops and the Dutch Marine Corps.
ther is a part 2 coming up, so that will be up very soon.

kdenk ni echt da die helis zo goe zijn ze, had liever een paar gespecialiseerde dingen gezien, maar ja, tis zo als zo vaak met het belgisch leger (niet tegenstaande dat ze wel enkele goede dingen hebben!) en tijdens het supressen en flanken wordt er nog altijd makkelijk iemand neergesniped ofz..

haha toen ze daar stonden te wachten opt strand konden zo zo worden neergemaaid door gelijk wie met een wapen in zijn handen :p
