We need reform in the cost of healthcare. What's the difference between an insurance company telling me what is covered and the government telling me what is covered? They both suck. With private insurance, profit to the corp is what's wrong and with gov't insurance, I'm paying for myself and others I don't even know. I guess I'd have to go with gov't healthcare since at least another human being is benefiting rather than a souless corporation. What do you think?

The mountains of upstate NY aren't too far to visit on a weekend. I'm sorry to say in all the years I lived there, I only went a few times- I went to Montauk instead. On a visit home a while back, I went upstate and was amazed by the waterfalls and river canyons and wonderful small towns. Real estate was cheap compared to Seattle area.

are only the lodgepole pines hit by the beetle? It looks like the Ponerosa were ok there. what about spruce and douglas firs? In colorado the douglas fir were hit but not like lodgepoles, the spruce were ok except for a few, but then Id guess if those beetles devour the loadgepoles they might go for the next best thing..

You're totally right about the test balloon thing, and the neural pathway training/neurolinguistic programming. OMG does that need to be exposed!
