  • So if someone lies as much as Casey did, it would pretty much create some form of doubt, thereby letting them go free? Why does our society hold these people to such crazy standards of the law. She has lied so many times, whatever happened to perjury? Why keep the jurrors honest when she's lied the entire time? She should have testified, although it would have been pointless. She only makes up stories as she goes along. As far as all the "sex abuse" why wait til NOW to report it? More lies.

  • @tadnlaw After thinking about it for a second, however, George Anthony could have been saying that because, that in and of itself, is what he believed happened at the time. Not that he had a part in it, but that his daughter made a mistake and he was giving her the benefit of the doubt. In reality, I don't believe he knew anything. To me the latter explanation is true as opposed to the former and Casey is just grabbing at anything to save herself. Thoughts?

  • @tadnlaw When I had a little time today, I watched parts of the trial on TV. As I'm sure you know, Jose Baez interviewed George's alleged mistress, who stated that George confided in her regarding Caylee's "accidental" death. For a second there I thought...wow, if that's true (that he DID help Casey), then it makes sense why she felt she could wait so long to report it to her mother (and authorities)...because her father was helping cover her tracks (essentially steering the ship).
