when i first heard this song,i had arrived in German a year or two(1976)and was only around 21 years old alone facing a new life without any help.......this song was a turning point and thanks be to "you tube"today i enjoy it after 38 years still living in Hamburg...yes .it tears me up but a great song and unique voice and back vocals--GREAT--GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
