Blade was easy. they could deviate from the comic and not get negative feedback due to overtly sensitive fanboys. There was no risk. All they had to do was make it cool, which Wesley did well.
Wonder woman in my opinion would be tricky. I would suggest Gina Carano. you need a beautiful female who you can believe is tough and could throw a punch that will knock out a dude...check out the trailer for Haywire

i totally agree wonder woman is the number one female heroe,and they dont make her movei ,wtf is wrong with hollywood?especially now when women can run for president ,the country is at war ,remember wonder woman is a warior who fiths for democracy,now would be the perfect time to make a movie .if i was a movie maker id be rich from making a wonder woman movie as a fan i would know what the plot would be.

There's no Wonder Woman movie because the movie exec don't they'll get the repeat business from adolescent girls they way they can from adolescent boys from male superheros.
