  • Hey Wingnuts- Stop the vid at 0:14 and read the article. This passed the Senate unanimously. Republicans, Democrats, conservatives, liberals... they all realize and agreed that an oil spill a fraction of the size of the one in the Gulf would be catastrophic. A Bagger like Johnson would sell us all to the lowest bidder if it helped him make a buck.

  • The people who claim that republicans are soooooo much better at handling the budget don't have a clue what they're talking about! Republicans are the ones that are OUT OF CONTROL in spending! They spent a trillion on a stupid war! And NOW you're upset??

  • The best some of these people who post can do is to refer to the tea party by a vulgar term?

    The war, as expensive as it was, pales in comparison to the increases in entitlement spending by George W. Bush and the Republican Congress. They boosted spending to unprecendented levels. Then Obama and the Democratic Congress is doing much the same, except at even higher levels.

    So it is rather disingenuous to attack the GOP for spending, and then go and do more of it.

  • I cant wait until Feingold is knocked off of his throne in November...gonna be a great day for Wisconsin! This TOOLBAG voted for that BIMBO Polosi 98% of the time. what a joke of a politician!

  • All Russ Feingold can do to try to win reelection is appeal to people's fears. At the end of the day, he's just another career politician.

  • @Eaacker We spent tens of billions on the Obama stimulus after spending billions a few months before on the Bush stimulus. We've added more to the national debt than any administration in history to fund the stimulus packages. So if the public sector is better, where are the jobs?

  • To the people saying that the private sector creates jobs had better look around. If the private sector is so magnificent, and across the board tax cuts aimed at corporations and the richest 1% are your answer to ending the recession, then I ask you, "where are the jobs?" Bush's tax cuts have been in place for most of the last decade, yet overall job creation by the private sector decreased dramatically from the last recession in 2000. Companies were making record profits without hiring.

  • Since I went to the Constitutional rights category, let us take a look at another Constitutional RIGHT. Shall we?

    nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;

    Tell me mr feingold, when the Constitution was ratified, did the government feel that the trade of labor for currency or another service, constitute an income?

    Of course it was not!

    Now, do you feel that labor is the PROPERTY of one's person?

    If not, do you feel we are slaves then?

  • Just wondering mr feingold, do you follow the Constitution? It took a Constitutional Amendment to prohibit alcohol. NOW, tell me, using common law precedent does that not mean that any substance to be banned, needs a Constitutional Amendment? Being just a lowly citizen, does that mean that EVERYONE in prison for the supposed illegal possession of a material, ARE being held UNCONSTITUTIONALLY? Just wondering.

    Is it the war on drugs, or the war on RIGHTS!?
