I think, things like music can be missunderstood so rapidly, if you look this way that you are just living with the stereotypes surrounding you.. Foreign people, music figures, cars.. everything.. then you came to realize you ain't seen the picture of the real deal - So that's why I think you should consider the band with a new player - A total different band, but not as a negative thin.

I do think Deep Purple is a sound, a trade mark sound in which movements of different players was a concept to the improvement. this somehow happened constantly without affecting essence of dp music significantly. In this understanding i do believe Glenn has been sometimes underrated, in his singer role, but I came to realize his contribution to dp (TM ) sound thing as a whole, is more than modest. for me, hes a key vocal component of the essential dp sound.
