That begs the question. "What should the graphs have read?" Did they support their position or not? Science is not supposed to embelish. Science is about finding the truth even if the truth does not support what you wished to prove. We rip on creationist and the anti Darwin crowd for this sort of thing. We can't have it in the world of science. Finding out you were wrong should be considered a sucsess. Now is the time to go back to the drawing board and find the real cause if their is any.

I'd always thought that the way to strengthen a scientific theory was to both "put it out there" and invite people to try to disprove it, and to gather evidence supporting it. But in the case of global warming, anyone attempting to disprove the theory is froze out, ignored, or ostracized. And if the data doesn't fit the theory, then they apparently change the data. This all seems a very strange way to do science.
