My Boy Jack

this is a vid bwt the film my boy jack with daniel radcliffe in it
i noticed after watchin it that the last bit is kinda hard to read so i put it on here incases people wanna read it;

Before John Kipling, nicknamed Jack, was 17 he had joined the army and bocame an officer. He was the son of the well known author Rudyard Kipling, writer of 'The Jungle Book'. John had had some difficulty getting into the army as he had to wear glasses (or 'specs' as he calls them in the film). Eventualy he foud a way to get over this (with a little help from his farther pulling a few strings with some of his conectons) and became an officer.
He spent the run up to his 18th birthday in a trench with his platoon. On the day of his 18th birthday he went over the top (for those who dont know what this means, its were the soilders go over the top of the trenches and charge across no mans land to the enemy trenches were they will fight for the, in some cases, 100ft of and they have ran across) and when he had done so just kept on gonin until he came into contact with a german machine gunner and was shot in the leg, his glasses fell
off and he fell to the ground. After groping around on the floor he found his glasses and pulled them back on. He knelt up strugling to cope with the pain of his leg, looks up to the machine gun post and was shot several taimes in the chest. his body was never recovered and his family live on in devestation of the loss of their son.
(This is not an accurate account of his death, but it is how it is played out in the film by daniel radcliffe

REALLY well put together. I like the entirely instrumental aspect of it. BTW...the dedication to Jack Kipling was a spectacular touch in my opinion. 5 stars

The actual singing is the hymn 'Dear Lord and Father of Mankind'. Agree, this is beautifully put together. Fine drama, beautifully written and well acted. Immensely moving.
