The Australian Country Music Industry Unites! Troy Cassar Daley, Tommy Emmanuel, Anne Kirkpatrick, James Blundell, Anne Kirkpatrick, Tamara Stewart, Dianna Corcoran, The Sunny Cowgirls, plus MANY more join together. . .
Singer/songwriter Tamara Stewart has initiated and co-ordinated an incredible project using her award winning songwriting talents to pen a song inspired by the devastating hell on earth witnessed in her native state of Victoria earlier this year.
Like all Australians, I was in shock. We watch these tragedies on our TV Screens from all over the world every day but being born and raised in country Victoria theres a reality that rings loud and clear... to be able to call on so many talented friends and colleagues that I have worked with over the years just goes to show the massive amount of respect and empathy this industry is willing to extend to our fellow Aussies.
The song TANGERINE SKY speaks of the unity of all Australians and the helping hand mentality that has been carved as a trait in our Aussie heritage. Black Saturday etched those grooves even deeper still.
This powerful anthem has called on the brilliance of some of the best in our industry. Both in front of the microphone and behind the scenes including; Troy Cassar Daley, Tommy Emmanuel, The Sunny Cowgirls, Anne Kirkpatrick, James Blundell, Tamara Stewart, Pete Denahy, Lianna Rose, Talia Wittman, Darren Coggan and Diana Corcoran, Stuie French, Ian Lees, Michel Rose, Brad Bergen and Rusty Crook who have all generously donated their special talents to such a worthy cause.
Ross Wood (Multi Award winning Video Producer) has volunteered produce a film clip over the three recording days; Ted Howard (award winning engineer) has worked tirelessly on the project - as studio engineer; Don Bartley, Garth Porter offering his state of the art studio and Tamara Stewart as songwriter, performer and producer. It will surely be marked in the history of Country Music as one of the rare moments when the industry comes together.
The enhanced single contains the audio track as well as the video clip and a very special mini documentary of the making of Tangerine Sky. All proceeds of the single will be donated to the Salvation Army to help ALL Aussies in need.
TANGERINE SKY WILL BE RELEASED NATIONALLY THROUGH SHOCK MUSIC ON APRIL 23rd

  • i hate how this only has 15,000 views

  • The horror as many sat and watched helpless and others fought as hard as they could was just horrific. but it was a time where true aussie spirit was show by volunteers and others all around australia and the rst of the world.

  • @sapphire60s Still visit this site, still love listening to this song.......and yes, it still brings a tear, I guess it always will. The horror of the huge loss of life, homes animals, flora and fauna, the gigantic fire everywhere, flying burning embers on the massive hot wind and the terror of not being able to escape will be with me for the rest of my life. People have moved on, very much changed from who they were, so many still suffering emotionally.
