Learn how to tell what day of the week it was on any given date all in your head. This trick mind blowing and will make everyone think you're a genius! Please Comment, Rate, and Subscribe for more great magic tricks!
-STEPS-
1-add the last two digits of the year (example: 2011, take the 11)
2-divide the last two digits by 4 and drop the remainder (example: 11/4=2)
3-add the day of the month (example: 6-1-11, add 1)
4-add the month number (January: 1, February: 4, March: 4, April: 0, May: 2, June: 5, July: 0, August: 3, September: 6, October: 1, November: 4, December: 6)
5-add a 0 for the 20th century and a 6 for the 21st century (example: 6-1-2011 add a 6 because it is in the 21st century)
6- add all the numbers together
7-divide that number by 7 and take the remainder as your answer (example: sunday is 1, tuesday is 2, and so on until saturday which is 0)

17*7 = 119 122-119=3
you want the remainder not to divide the answer by 7 again.

I used this process to work it out I have take the ....7th August 2011 (Sunday)
That means: 11+2+7+3+6 rigth ??? Which is 29...29/7 =4.142857........and now ???

@TheSylar202 Instead of using decimals, use fractions. 29/7=4+1/7. The 1/7th is all you you need. Because the numerator is 1, the day is Sunday. Hope this helps

@TAGSmagic Why do you calculate 4+1/7 ?? is 1/7 a fraction ?

@TheSylar202 1/7 is a fraction but 1 is the remainder. 29 doesn't divide evenly by 7 but 28 does. So when you divide 29 by 7 you get 4 with 1/7 left over. The one is what you use to figure out the day of the week
