I approached Jack after a concert about 2 years ago and told him I'd been hearing him for 40 years. He told me to get my ears examined.

For a while Dylan sang and played nothing but Woodie Guthrie songs. That was until he heard Ramblin' Jack Elliot. He felt that Elliot did it much better. It was easier to steal songs and styles in those days, however I'm not having a go at Dylan - if it wasn't for him I would probably have never listened to this song. Read Bob Dylan's autobiography "Chronicles vol 1"

very beautiful folk song; it sounds like Woody but this is not his voice; isn't it? And we're waiting impatiently for the next photo during the video.
thank you to share,

@PunkyBurger Hypocrite. Like you've never jerked it to someones video, besides, you've made such a good video that someone has a 3/4 chub just watching it... that's an achievement.

yeah, so OK punky, i'm a little primed (been about half a decade now), but this IS a really nice song... "Fish back to the finance company" is a classic line. It's a big country we got here, and it's easy to forget how hard some folks have it......

You're all wrong! That's Arlo doing his daddy's song.

no, definitely not. i'll admit, it could be Ramblin' Jack but its not Arlo.

no, it is actually Woody Guthrie, it's from a CD.

Well, I don't know, but it's been said,
The streets of heaven are lined with lead.
You can ask me why the Folks are raw,
I'll tell ya, "Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa,
Our Loves Are Gonna Grow Ooh-wah, Ooh-wah."
