(Love Theme from ) Spartacus: Yusef Lateef Tribute by ANNA FISHER

The original "Love Theme from Spartacus" an adaptation of Aex North's movie theme was first recorded in 1960 by the great Jazz legend Yusef Lateef on his album, "Eastern Sounds". Likely the best known composition for Jazz Oboe in existence, Anna Fisher wanted to tribute this magnificent piece with her own arrangement on her latest CD, FOCUS on MOLIN MUSIC LABEL. Gathering some of the best local Los Angeles musicians she could find she shares her inaugural recording session from her newly built studio at MOLIN MUSIC to share with you today.

Yusef Lateef's "Love Theme From Spartacus" has always been the song of my spirit. No other version of this song has ever compared to his mastery. Until I heard this version by Anna Fisher.
