  • One of the best 'kaikottikkali' (thiruvathirakkali) songs - maybe the best ever from movies. But I can't help find it a bit ironic that the music - for this most 'Malayalee' art form - is by an North Indian - Ravi (Bombay)! Talk about musical genius transcending cultures!

  • I had a bitter experience before watching this beautiful thiruvathira kali and listening to this enchanting song. Thank you "davina212" for uploading this wonderful song. Imagine my delight watching this thiruvathira kali after listening to "Adnan Sami's" lullaby "chanchadiyadi..."!! This song restored my faith in humanity and Malayalam movies!!! Yusaf Ali Kecheri is not only keeping up the traditions and standard set by P. Bhaskaran and Vayalar, but also raised a couple of notches higher!!!

  • This movie is soo sad

  • sathyam parayanamallo, cinema enikkishtamaayi. But, as a period film, it lacks authenticity in too many places. I suppose we could quote poetic licence and let it go at that. Ennalum, paattum kaliyum Itharakkanagattu nanaavumnu nireechilya, tvo!

  • I looooove this sooooooooong, reminds me of my young good old Onams.

  • She is getting married to a man who is of her Grandpa's age. His first wife is in the middle, some other wives are among those dancing. This is about Nambudiri social system prevalent in South Malabar (Valluvanad) about , say, 70-80 years ago. Story and screenplay is by storyteller of Valluvanad MT Vasudevan Nair. Released in 1994. A must watch.

  • i still remember..i have performed dis dance during my school days..luv dis song..
